Driving by yourself, you have two options to reach Goa from Chennai.
- The first one starts from Chennai and goes through NH4 via Sriperumbedur, Vellore, Chintamani, Chitradurga, Devanagere, Ranebennur, Kalghatgi, Kumbarwad and Anmod to finally reach Goa. The entire journey of 872 kms takes 14 and a half hours to be completed.
- The next route travel through NH4 as well as NH 205 and covers 897 kms in around 16 hours. Driving through this route you will reach Goa via Sriperumbedur, Serkadu, Chittor, Palamner, Anantapur, Bellary, Gadag, Hubli and Dharwad.

Passengers have quiet limited options to travel from Chennai to Goa directly.
- The 17311 Chennai Vasco Express - is the best option available for passengers to commute between Chennai to Goa. The train departs Chennai Central (MAS) at 14:10 hours and covers 1070 km to reach Vasco Da Gama (VSG) at 13:00 hours next day. The train operates only once a week on Fridays.
Chennai to Goa - By Air
Airlines flying into Goa from Chennai include Spicejet, Jet Konnect, Air India, IndiGo,Kingfisher Red , Jet Airways and Kingfisher Class. There are quiet a few direct flights from Chennai to Goa offered by Spicejet and Air India that take 1h 50m and 1h 15m respectively to travel from Chennai to Goa. However, there are a number of flights routed via Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore that take upto 8 hours to finally reach Goa.
